Debbie Reep-MacLeod, who serves as a writing specialist at Hudson Valley Community College, and Max Caplan will perform Claude Bolling’s “Suites 1 and 2 for Flute and Jazz Piano” as part of the Music on the Lawn Summer Series at the Albany Institute of History & Art.
The program featuring the Reep-MacLeod/Caplan Duo is scheduled for 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 17.

A vocalist and flutist, Reep-MacLeod has performed with the Catskill Choral Society, Albany Pro Musica, the Albany Symphony Orchestra and the Philadelphia Orchestra, including on tours to Eastern Europe.
Caplan is a classical and jazz composer, and pianist. His performance credits include Musicians of Ma’alwyck, the Schenectady Symphony Orchestra and Albany Pro Musica. He is also an adjunct instructor of composition at SUNY Schenectady.
Admission is free on Sept. 17. Attendees also may tour the museum galleries for free, and purchase food and drink. The music is moved indoors in the event of inclement weather. The Albany Institute of History & Art is located at 125 Washington Ave. in Albany.
